The /languages page now lists all 100 languages the engine supports, with the native script alongside the English name. Earlier the homepage, pricing, and per-page references gave different counts (84+, 90+, 98+) — they all say 100+ now, sourced from the same data.
Language detection still happens automatically when you upload. The list is for confirmation, not selection.
The landing page, marketing pages, dashboard, and transcript editor share a tighter visual system now — warm canvas, ink on paper, and a single cat mark in place of the old glyph.
Pricing, retention, refund policy, and how the editor works are unchanged. If a part of the site looks different, that is why.

The /sample page used to be a static example. It now plays a short clip with the transcript highlighting block-by-block as the audio runs — same engine, same speaker labels, same export options as a real transcript.
No sign-up, no upload. Just play.
Signing in and creating an account no longer bounces you off-site. The same forms now load directly on /sign-in and /sign-up under transcribecat.com.
Nothing changes about how you log in. The flow just stays on one domain.
On /upload there is now a picker right under the file. Choose instant-delete on completion, 24 hours, one week, one month, 90 days (default), or one year.
You can also set a default in your profile so every future upload starts on your preferred window. Per-file picks override the default.
The 90-day default is unchanged. This is for people who want a different policy on specific files.
If the audio is still on file, a player appears at the bottom of the transcript page. Press play and the active block lights up as it speaks. Click a block to jump straight to that line.
Space toggles play. Left and right arrows skip ten seconds. The speed control remembers your last setting. None of these shortcuts steal focus from the editor.
If the retention window has elapsed, the audio has been deleted automatically. The transcript still works; the player just does not appear.
Open any transcript and click into a block. Type your correction and click out — it saves. Cmd+Enter saves. Escape reverts.
Speaker labels are clickable too. Rename "Speaker A" to "Marcos" once, and every block by that speaker updates everywhere — including in the file you download next.
All downloads (TXT, SRT, DOCX) reflect your edits. The original AI transcript is preserved in the database, untouched, so we can always go back to it.
If you uploaded a recording over about three hours and it got stuck in "Processing" without finishing — that will not happen now.
If you had a transcript stranded by this issue, it has already been refunded automatically.

Audio used to be deleted the moment a transcript was ready. It now stays for 90 days from your last sign-in. If you stop signing in for 90 days, it deletes automatically.
You can still delete your audio at any time from your profile, delete a single transcription, or delete the whole account. The Privacy and Trust pages explain the policy in plain terms.
